Postdoctoral fellowship in developmental biology and kidney embryogenesis

Your profile

We are looking for a quailified postdoctoral fellow with a solid background in molecular biology, who is interested to pursue his/her further career in developmental biology, addressing questions that originate form hereditary and developmental diseases.

Our offer

For particularly qualified applications, for example applicants with previous postdoctoral expierence or an extensive doctoral thesis, we will provide a technican to support the research efforts. He/she will also have the opportunity to supervise PhD and MD students to establish early independence.

Your offer

The typical applicant has successfully finished his doctoral thesis in a basic science laboratory, and wants to combine high-caliber research in basic sciences with a stellar clinical training. Especially designed training tracks will allow the applicant to participate in ongoing research projects, and to develop his own research interests.

Our offer

We offer qualified and highly motivated medical doctors (MD) the oportunity to pursue an academic career. The applicant will establish a track record in basic science, and participate in a carefully organized clinical curriculum to gurantee the best clinical training possible. After a six-year training period, the candidate should be board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and either continue in the department as a junior faculty member, pursuing independent research, or seek additional qualifications in collaborating laboratories or hospitals, preferentially in the USA.
